Overview:

SCP: Blackout is a Desktop/VR game coming out on Steam in the Spring of 2019. It is a surreal horror game with a branching narrative. As a new D-Class transferred to Site-50, you must decide what you want to do as you navigate though the facility trying to survive various malicious SCP entities, determining what choices to make, and collecting pieces of the story to truly understand what is going on.

As you play, you can listen to Dr. Millar or Dr. Slate, each with their own motives and goals. Each choice and path you make effects the facility and playthrough, leading to many different possible endings. Each time you play, more of the story will be uncovered, and maybe the best choices aren’t the ones so obviously presented.

Gamemodes for fast paced survival mode, as well as the grand story-mode. Survival grants you access to the full map to escape with whatever means you can. Beware though, more SCPs will be out on the hunt in this mode.

  • VR (Vive and Oculus) AND normal desktop.

    FAQ:

  • Q: Is SCP: Blackout multiplayer?

-A: No, this game is single player only. But after this game is finished, I do have a separate SCP multiplayer game planned.

  • Q: What SCPs are in the game?

A: There are currently 3 main SCPs in the game, all new creations. There are also a few secondary ones with less story involvement, also new. In the final version, there should be up to 7 new SCPs.

  • Q: Will there be Steam Achievements and Trading Cards?

    A: Yes!

  • Q: Is there a BETA? And When?

A: Yes, there will be two main BETAs. They are for those who donated on the Kickstarter, Patreon, or Paypal and buy/bought the game before release. The first BETA will be closed to find the main major bugs, and the second will be open for recording and streamers. The dates are still yet to be decided, but will be announced.

  • Q: What all will this be on?

A: This will be on PC, but if it does well enough I would like to port it to at least Xbox, and then the other consoles.

  • Q: What are you using to make this?

A: I’m using Unreal Engine 4, the best game engine around. I might be biased, though.

  • Q: What does the game symbol mean? It looks like the normal SCP logo, but different.

A: It’s a logo both for the game, and in the game it’s for a special section, Sub-Lab 11. It was created for me by TheVolgun. He is also an amazing illustrator, in addition to his awesome voice work!
